A POST OF GRATITUDE AND PLEDGE TO DO BETTER 2.0
========================
On 29th March, just 10 days back, I nervously sent invites to 50 friends to join a community (Fb group) which I had created the previous night because I felt the need to ensure people get the right info at the right time in these challenging circumstances. Prior to that, almost for a month, I spent time reading incessantly & posting about the crisis brewing - giving me some information to form a decent opinion. My gut feeling was that this thing is going to rain havoc for some reason, and it has. To me, it also seemed worthwhile to try and collaboratively create a more open and diverse group to get people together in such challenging times.
I was still not certain though that what I am upto would be of any use. I mean there are governments, corporates and powerful influencers/entrepreneurs going at it - working very hard to solve so many complex problems in the covid-ridden world. Would we become a real community where there would be love and trust to tide us over the challenges was another worry I had!
But, the last 10 days opened my eyes - people have always rushed to help others and engage in every way possible, most queries asked on the group found resolutions quickly and there is a stream of credible information coming our way. We are also 800+ strong already and growing steadily. My doubts were all wrong, what we created has been useful. I have also heard words of encouragement from so many friends, acquaintance and people who I don't know at all - which is so heartening.
I found today that a couple of people I knew in the US passed away after being infected by Covid 19. It was disheartening to see this given that they were people who had lives ahead of them. But, this also gives me motivation to do more, do better for fellow humans and humanity. There is so much yet to do and now is the time to solidify the resolve of the entire #HumanityAgainstCovid
