COVID-19 – 4 Ways To Refill Your Batteries And To Stay Strong

The COVID-19 pandemic is for many of us a time of extreme stress, worry, and anxiety. We are working in new and suboptimal conditions which is draining our energy as we are often on alert 24/7.

Hence our physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health is extremely important right now. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup!

I hope that the below tips will help you in recharging your batteries and take good care of you and others.

1. Take good care of yourself

You need to take good care of yourself. Be kind to yourself and don't judge how you are coping based on how you see others coping. Prioritizing self-care will help keeping your immune system strong and allowing you to support others who depend on you: “Put your oxygen mask on first before assisting others”.

2. Go for instant refreshments

Below image shows a couple of tools that work very well for me, as I can easily embed them in my daily life, they are fun, and I experience instant change of my emotional and energy status. And don’t stop there, once you are refreshed, ask yourself “What is the next loving thing I can do for myself and for others right now?”. 3. Connect with others

For all of us having good relationships plays an important role in our wellbeing. Even though we’re using “physical distancing” to avoid spreading the virus, it’s essential to keep up our human connections in other ways, especially if we are in self-isolation. Get creative and have virtual meetings, game nights, dinner dates with Zoom, FaceTime etc. Or pick up the phone and give each other space to talk and listen with compassion and understanding. Moments of connection will re-energize and uplift you.

4. Show leadership

According to May Busch it is important to show leadership. “When everyone around you is afraid and anxious, it’s an open invitation for you to step into that best version of yourself and reach out to others and helps them return to trust and calm. Whether or not you have a title, you can be that leader.”

Remember, as with all crises, this too shall pass. The key is to take actions now that help you to refill your batteries and emerge better and stronger than before.

What are you doing to recharge, refresh, and rebalance yourself in these unprecedented times?
