I've put on my own oxygen mask (thank you therapist for insisting I take a break and self-care) after a crazy start to 2021. (Pun-intended. I've been caregiving for my father since March 2020 and he survived Covid19.)
I'm back on a soapbox with this very important PSA, with lovingkindness:
In the midst of a global pandemic and financial crisis, do you believe that there are people who still haven’t updated and reviewed their most precious assets?
These are foundational for your future, your life story, and your legacy. Yet, most will leave these things on default, set it and forget it.
???????? ?????????? ????????????: Estate, Wills, health care proxies, POAs, guardianships, trusts, life insurance, beneficiaries, life legacy story
???????????????????? ?????????? ????????????: 401ks (old 401k), Roth IRAs, IRAs, Annuities, Long Term Care, etc.
???????????? ?????????? ????????????: resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, career narratives, bios, etc.
?????? ?????????? ????????????: Succession Plans: Buy-Sell Agreements, Key-Person Insurance, Executive Bonus Plans.
For 20+ years now, I’ve been following up with folks about reviewing many of these things.
Most people will procrastinate, wait until it's painstaking or there's an absolute need (anticipating layoffs, soul-sucking work, employee reviews), or until it may be too late.
Most people will wait until they get into a car accident before they understand what type of policy they have in place.
Don't wait until retirement to understand how you've been doing and how you could've done better.
Don't wait until a near-death experience to get your foundational assets and life legacy story in order. Do it now!
The "??????'?? ???????? ?????????? ??????'???? ??????????" isn't relevant here.
Time isn't on your side when it comes to this stuff.
I believe in God's grace and His blessings, but I also believe that most people have inherited their patterns of behavior. And if you break the patterns, you can create positive change for multi-generations.
Make sure you’re covering your assets — from your professional brand to your career, and your finances.
Whether you need help or not, I need help in getting the word out for what I believe is my life's work, and I'm fired up.
