Cover Letter

This is a cover letter?I am working on, just throwing it out there for feedback, please be nice.

Marcelo Mainzer, descriptive?words; Idea Guy, Innovator, Imagineer, brainstormer, problem solver, visionary, futurist, generalist, change agent, entrepreneur, good heart.?

The first time I traded time and energy for money I was about ten years old; the usual cutting lawns for hr=$ and other gigs that were for “tips” lift and carry and go get when I had a car, and always construction work. I remember one gig, through an agency, that had me sanding lead fishing weights, it might explain some things. Living in L.A. in the 80’s I got work as a runner/production assistant on several films and tv shows.??In my twenties and thirties I lived in Hawaii, Arizona, all over California then Colorado following family.?

?I have considerable warehousing experience and once worked for Barbizon Light of the Rockies a lighting company, on major attractions. For about nine years I was a freelance photojournalist for BlackTie Colorado covering charity fundraising events. I’ve started both a book and a screenplay, I’ve been told that I'm a good writer.?

?My bread for bread and butter came mostly from construction work and stints managing downsizing seniors and running two handyman/concierge services “Just Task Me”, concierge and errand service and “A Handy Man to Have Around, services. I’ve been the cousin who gets things done for people who didn’t have those kinds of cousins. I also did stints in phone banks and delivery.

Some one once said of me that I am all tactical and no strategic; throw a bunch of tasks at me and I get them done, ask me to plan into the future and you may as well ask me to travel there.?I’ve provided care for three people a middle-aged man with advanced MS, a 90 year old Veteran with Parkinson’s and now a 20 year old man with Autism.

Although construction is hard and often thankless work at the end of the Job you've built or fixed something, that contains a feeling of satisfaction. When working on a crew a sense of collaboration and comradery. I am a Man of Service, just knowing I got something done for someone is near sometimes enough to getting paid as a reward. Although tactical in my work life in my mind I am a futurist and have kept up to date on a wide range of technologies. I would make some company a wonderful CIO (Chief Imagination Officer)

I am a great advocate for utilizing various testing instruments to determine aptitude and interest in work. I am a harsh critic of the current, antiquated, economic and governance systems which I feel to be incompatible with adapting to and ameliorating the effects of climate change.

I am a great advocate for Workers Cooperative Corporations and have designed a social experiment which qualifies and supports 175 homeless veterans, and their families, in building a 21st century Village?

I feel most of the ills of this world can be traced to resource allocation inequalities and want to work with an organization which is working to decentralize resources by empowering a multitude of entrepreneurs with capital and, or other resources.??

This is just a first draft, what do you think??

Marc Main - I think you missing an great opportunity to share your sense of purpose- what makes you wake up and want to Change the World, what drives your inner heart and soul to desire better outcomes for those suffering and lost, what has you thinking about leading a Change Movement around the world, and how will you participate in it? All powerful ways to express your value and intentions, and the skills, heart and mind to make it happen. I say meditate on these and allow your intuition to arise... ?? ??♂?

You did a lot of stuff over the years "I got work" as you put it, but what did you like the most and not like the most? And what do you really want to do? What is your direction and your focus? And what will that do for whoever hires you?. What have you learned and what do you want to learn? What are you curious about that you would like to study. And how do you measure your accomplishments? These are the questions that come to my mind. Evidently, you did you you had to do to keep going. But what did you really want to do? And how can you use that the attract your next employer?
