Covenant House Sleep Out 2022

Last night I participated in the 2022 Covenant House Vancouver Executive Sleep Out.?

As part of the event, the Sleepout Party were toured through Covenant House Vancouver’s fantastic new facility at 1280 Seymour in the City of Vancouver.??The facility was designed and built especially with youth in mind, even with the direction of engaged youth. Every room was trauma informed and, while each was comfortable, practical and welcoming, it also?offered art, support and vibrancy in every corner, deliberately lifting each vulnerable persons spirit and well-being.

There were many striking messages and thoughts, and I have shared some in these accompanying pictures (see the comments below). Through the active demonstration of unconditional love and respect, critical Life Skills are being delivered and reinforced daily here so that people in Covenant House can make their way back to a dignified and self-sustaining life, and do so with renewed confidence.

It is always so powerful to hear how this support impacts staff and programming, and hear directly from young people from Covenant House Vancouver.?
