Cov Pars: Two Interviews
A number of people were involved in making the Razi Cov Pars vaccine, such as Dr. Mojtaba Nofali (Trial Director for the project's clinical third phase), Dr. Reza Bani Hashemi (Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Director and a member of the production team), Dr. Mohammad Hossein Fallah Mehrabadi (Spokesperson for the project), and Dr. Ali Ishaqi (Head of the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute).
Dr. Ali Ishaqi on the Cov Pars project:
Iran's Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute is one of the largest and most well-known vaccine manufacturing institutes. This project coincided with the arrival of corona in Iran in the March of 2020. The reason for the project's late release was the delay caused by the licensing authorities deciding upon the universal injection of the vaccine.
Dr. Ishaqi added that the main difference between Cov Pars and other vaccines injected in Iran is that other vaccines contain the whole dead virus, while the Cov Pars vaccine contains only the virus' necessary parts.

Dr. Bani Hashemi is the first official volunteer from the manufacturer to inject the Cov Pars vaccine. He said in this regard, "After testing this vaccine on 500 small animals and 25 monkeys, we obtained assurance for the first time according to the global tradition of vaccine manufacturers. Of course, the committee is uncertain about the morality of this issue; my family and I first took the vaccine, followed by the team members and the Minister of Jihad for Agriculture whom also volunteered to take the shot".
Several countries have requested the export of the vaccine, but due to Iran's current state and needs, doing so is not possible at the moment.?
One of the main differences between this vaccine and other vaccines is that the third dose enters the body via inhalation. When vaccinating families, the priority is to inject the father, whom is the person that has the most contact outside the home. Injecting the vaccine intramuscularly does not prevent the spread of the virus, which is why inhalation is used. The third dose is injected one month after the second dose and prevents the virus from entering the body for up to six months.
Have people who have received the Cov Pars vaccine ever had a particular complication or allergy? No, but it does have the most common side effects such as dizziness and muscle aches; but there is nothing to worry about.?
