How Pickleball Proves We Can Get Along
Here’s a poem about the power of Pickleball: one more way to strive for world peace.
Beyond my humble business life, I’ve got a passion for playing Pickleball at a reasonably high level. I am also certified to coach and teach the game to people, which is a blast because people from all walks of life, diversity transforms instantly into unity on most Pickleball courts.
Is Pickleball perfect, and can we take my article seriously regarding world peace?
Maybe not. But it’s a great example of how we can get along despite our many differences. Because, in the end, some of us know we’re all one.
Since writing is as fun for me as playing Pickleball with people from all walks of life, I decided to share this poem.

In Scottsdale’s sun or Berlin’s misty rain, On courts around the globe, a game we gain. It’s not just a sport but a symbol, see? A tool for peace and worldwide unity.

In Pickleball, a paddle and a ball, Unites the young and the old and connects us all. Regardless of the language that you speak, The game remains the same, and it’s technique.
From Asia’s stretch to the American West, Different faiths and views are put to the test. Yet on this court, no matter your belief, We find a common ground, a sweet relief.
Politicians, clerks, or men of cloth, Find commonality, breaking walls off. The net’s not just a barrier but a link, Helping us to talk, to laugh, to think.
There’s no red state or blue, just lines in green, A neutral ground where only skill is seen. A place where arguments are left behind, Except for a questionable, lousy call of a line.
Muslim, Christian, atheist or Jew, On this small court, we have a larger worldview. We cheer and clap for enemies no more, The only battle is to increase one’s score.
And so, my friends, this simple game we play, Becomes a beacon for a brighter day. For every serve and volley we partake, It is one more step towards peace we make.
Thus, Pickleball, an unlikely diplomat, Proves kindness wins over senseless spat. And shows us how one game can genuinely be, A path to worldwide peace and harmony.
