Court rules Hanson racially vilified Faruqi; Jennifer Lopez campaigns with Kamala Harris; and a really, really, really big fine
Good afternoon. An emotional Mehreen Faruqi has said she “will be speaking out more loudly and more strongly than ever before” after the federal court ruled Pauline Hanson engaged in racial discrimination when she told the Greens senator to “pack your bags and piss off back to Pakistan”.
The proceedings centred on an interaction the pair had on Twitter in 2022, shortly after Queen Elizabeth II died, when Hanson responded to a tweet in which Faruqi wrote: “I cannot mourn the leader of a racist empire built on stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples.”
Justice Angus Stewart found Hanson’s comment that Faruqi should “piss off back to Pakistan” was a “variant of the slogan ‘go back to from where you came from’” which he said was a “strong form of racism”. The One Nation leader was ordered to delete the tweet and pay Faruqi’s costs, which Faruqi’s lawyer said would likely total “many hundreds of thousands of dollars”.
Faruqi said the win sent “a strong message to racists that they will be held accountable” and made clear that “hate speech is not free speech”. Hanson, who was not present in court, wrote on X that she had “instructed her lawyers to prepare and lodge appeal documents”.

3 周It's no surprise that Kamala tailors her messages differently for Jewish and Muslim audiences—but let’s be honest, you simply can’t trust her. For anyone watching her campaign, it’s been a consistent parade of twisted statements, out-of-context promises, and hollow, vote-buying rhetoric. Yet somehow, people still seem taken aback. Her strategy is as transparent as it is divisive: catering to different groups with different faces, while the truth gets buried beneath political expedience. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/hear-the-different-messaging-on-israel-and-gaza-from-the-harris-campaign-commercials-depending-on-where-you-live/vi-AA1tmnmW?ocid=BingNewsSerp

3 周I voted for Trump because Kamala Harris embodies a weak, misguided approach to leadership that has faltered dramatically over the past four years. With two wars ongoing, her administration has shown a complete lack of effective diplomacy, projecting weakness that our adversaries have exploited. Inflation has crushed families, and her economic policies have been disastrous, failing to address core issues. Reckless spending has led to soaring debt and persistent inflation, while her administration continues to push ineffective giveaways. Her inability to communicate effectively without a teleprompter raises serious questions about her preparedness for real crises. The dishonesty and negativity of her campaigns are staggering; she distorts the truth, and her supporters insult us, calling us "garbage" and belittling our women. When that 3 AM call comes from Iran, China, or North Korea, there won’t be a teleprompter to guide her decision-making. In essence, she is a media creation, lacking substantial political victories, having run unopposed for the Senate, with a track record of radical ideas that have consistently failed and harmed lives.
