"The Court of Public Opinion"

As a trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, I am always interested in the way court cases are discussed in the media versus what really happens in the courtroom. It is often that lawyers representing clients have a more compelling story for the "court of public opinion" than what will be allowed in a courtroom once the real trial starts. This brings me to Monique Pressley. Pressley has been given the task of taking the story and a discussion of the criminal allegations launched against Bill Cosby and making a case to the public. You have to admit that she is compelling. In talking to the media, she reminds us all that her client has a right to remain silent, is innocent until proven guilty and that there will be a story to tell once the courtroom door opens. Let's all stay tuned...

5 年Great, this will be very useful for Finance professional.
So true. Now we just have to wait and see what happens since one of the matters has been dismissed. Part of the strategy or streak of luck?
