Hi Faisal, it was open-ended project for which Yelp Challenge Dataset was given and learners came up with their own interested questions. I must say I have never been working on such a huge data like this. Time spent to explore and understand the structure of data set really expanded and clarified many concepts I encountered before that. The project highly resembles the real world problems where the need to model answers to questions is tremendous. I agree with you regarding the issue of plagiarism from the business aspect. However can the internet revolutionize our way of education like it have done to our way of socializing or shopping or entertainment etc? Then I believe that extra miles of effort needs to be taken if that vision ever becomes real (Many MOOC providers, I guess, have this vision too)

Great article. Thanks for sharing. I am considering it as well. What was your project on? I don't think plagiarism should be enforced though as it is an unnecessary cost and burden on Coursera. If people are going to cheat, why bother doing the course? MOOCs are meant for learning and not prestigious certificates.
