Course Launch Results, Day 1

Course Launch Results, Day 1

Last week at 8 AM EST I took the plunge and officially launched my sales demo program (a fancy way of saying digital course). Similar to lots of folks that have tried this, I had a decent amount of activity on the post I made announcing the launch, but not as many subscribers to the course as I'd like.

So, since then I've been documenting my results, strategies, pivots, and observations, and have decided to lift the curtain and share with everyone that is willing to learn how it's going so far.

They say overnight success takes years, but nobody really gets to see it. So here I am sharing it with you.

After the 8AM announcement, I thought people were going to flock to the course, but part of me was thinking that great things don't come easily. I was right about the latter, I had a decent amount of activity, but no purchases.

Here are some of my observations:

  • People are either waking up or still working and will look at buying after hours
  • $297 (even with a $100 discount) is not an impulse buy so it may take a few times to see my content to purchase.
  • People are used to a monthly subscription to most things (e.g. Netflix, Spotify, etc) so maybe a yearly subscription is a bit of a shocker.

As far as action items:

  • I will wait a few weeks to see if there are any subscribers. During that time I will pump up my relevant engagement (if I feel like I can't add value and contribute to a post, then I won't) and posts since I'm revamping my LI profile so whatever traffic I get will point to the new LI? profile.
  • I will reach out to all those that said they'd buy but didn't and ask them why (my gut tells me it could be a price or yearly plan issue) - if that's the case I'll announce a new monthly subscription plan and consider reducing yearly cost (for now).

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. If you found this helpful, I'd be honored if you dropped me a like here or a retweet .

Cheers,

Mor

Congrats on the launch mate. It's the hardest step. I lead a team of course launch specialists and have helped tons of people do 6 figure course launches at Thinkific (including my dad) Always happy to share my process if you'd like

Love how you are building in public mate. May seem futile at the beginning but it's going to be so good in the future!

Hi, Mor, I'd me a pleasure to follow this newsletter. Just a question. Any other SDR or Sales newsletter you would recommend?
