Many salespeople (not you obviously!) have their own way of believing that someone else should fill their sales funnel for them. I hear ten or more times a week from sales people,
"If I can get in front of prospects, I can usually sell."
But how do they find these mythical prospects? Many mistakenly believe that other people should do this for them.
They say things like, "We need more marketing", "We need to spend more on advertising"...
"Then we will have more leads!"
There is a reluctance to admit that the responsibility sits with them, which is often the cause of missed targets, stifled growth and hopes and dreams evaporating.
The reality is, it's their target, it's their commission, it's their hopes and dreams for their family and their own future. So why would they subcontract the responsibility for their future to someone else?
When you put it that way, it just doesn't make sense!
