Course Facilitator Session on starting of 3 phase induction motor

Today, we had the privilege of attending a comprehensive Facilitator Session on 3-phase induction motors, expertly led by Gowrishankar from NIT, Pondicherry. Throughout the session, we delved into the intricate workings of these motors, focusing particularly on the crucial need for starters and the various starting methods available for squirrel cage induction motors. With meticulous detail, we explored methods such as the Direct Online (DOL) starter, Stator resistance starter, and the Star Delta starter, among others. Each method was dissected and explained, providing us with a deep understanding of the nuances involved in starting these motors effectively.
