An eventful year is coming to an end and Christmas time is here again. We were able to celebrate our 10-year anniversary in 2017 and look forward to 2018 – the perfect opportunity to talk about our place of origin, Oslo. This is where our Company’s story began.
This fabulous seaport City has undergone profound changes in the last 25 years and has become one of Europe’s most fascinating metropolitan cities with such amazing urban centers as Sentrum, Tjuvholmen, Barcode Bj?rvika, S?renga and Nydalen, to name just a few. Oslo offers surprising developments, great infrastructure, unique architecture as well as delightful restaurants. It has become a favorite travel destination. This fantastic upswing was only possible, because many had the courage to try something new: residents, politicians and real estate developers came together and pulled in the same direction. Their common goal was to turn Oslo into one of the most attractive cities in the world. Their courage was rewarded. Oslo has become a global city. This is where we were born.
When we founded the Company in 2007, we had a vision to build a Real Estate Asset Manager independent from banks, full of passion and guided by strong values. This courage has pushed us forward in the past 10 years to grow the Company and turn it into an established player on the Swiss real estate market. Based on our Norwegian roots and traditional Swiss values and virtues, from integrity to responsibility, from transparency to professionalism, we assembled a new range of products and broadened our investors base with the Helvetica Swiss Commercial Real Estate Fund – and we will continue on this path next year. This combination of innovation, values and virtues forms a solid foundation going forward; it is also our recipe for Helvetica’s continued future success.
