“You can choose courage or you can choose comfort. You cannot have both.” - Brené Brown
Welcome to another edition of The Leadershifts Chronicle, a newsletter where I share ideas and resources for leaders who build better businesses and explore new ways of running an organisation.
Last week, I had the opportunity to deliver my talk "Beyond High-Performing Teams" at Queaso Services bv Services bv's summer event. As usual, I prepared a slide deck to support my story on using Systemic Principles to build High-Performing Teams. However, the weather was great, so I decided to drop my slides and use a flip-over to deliver the talk on the terrace, which was a nice experience and a little step out of my comfort zone.
When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone?
Welcome to this week's Leadershifts Chronicle...

?? When two of my favorite sources of inspiration Peter Hinssen and Steven Van Belleghem write together an e-book, you know it will be brilliant. This ebook 'AI and the End of Awful", discusses the idea that only the brilliant can thrive in a sea of mediocrity. They examine how AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Co-Pilot reshape professional output and customer interactions.

?? A holistic mindset is a crucial element of the Leadershifts concept. It's about inner and outer movement, shifting the visible external structures and the invisible internal landscape, the conscious and unconscious.

This week, Cathelijne De Vries shared this great visual summary of the book "Thanks for the feedback" by Douglas Stone and Sheila Heen
Giving and receiving feedback can be a huge issue for people. It's stepping out of your comfort zone, uncertainty, vulnerability,... But it's essential to discover your blind spots and grow. This video explains the concept of the book in less than 11min.
So that's it for this week.
Like always, feedback is very welcome and appreciated. It helps me grow on my path to becoming a better leader.
Have a great weekend and till next week...
