Marty Falle Interview by Big Al Weekley for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Marty Falle is an American Country/Bluegrass Singer-Songwriter and Nashville recording artist. Falle’s critically acclaimed music has drawn an international following through the years. Marty has released four LPs including the beautifully remastered “Ohio”, “Long, Long Road”, “Bloody Coal” and "Virgin on the Bluegrass" whose title track delivers with his storytelling, soulful style and takes us to the hollers of Eastern Kentucky with a melodic yet haunting and progressive Country - Bluegrass sound. Marty performed live in Nashville for a special event that was taped for European TV on February 1st, 2020. Marty and band performed his originals - "Bloody Coal", "Rio Grande", "Palmetto Moonshine" and the unreleased "Make it to Macon". In October 2021, John Lawless, Editor and Founder of the largest Bluegrass Magazine globally, "Bluegrass Today", writes this - South Carolina-based singer/songwriter Marty Falle is another example of an artist who has made their way back to bluegrass after working several years in the country music world. After knocking around fronting cover bands for some time, Marty decided to give it a shot as himself, and released an album, Ohio, that did well on CMT in 2010, especially his video for Hoochie Coochie Gal from the Buckeye State, which received over three millions views online. He says that he discovered the music fresh out of school when a new job took him to Kentucky’s coal region. “Country and bluegrass music hit me like a lightning bolt shortly after I was transferred to Eastern Kentucky Coal Country after graduating from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I was a traveling salesman and the locals took me in and turned me on to Makers Mark Bourbon, Bluegrass at Renfro Valley, and Dwight Yoakum. I wore out my CDs of Steve Earle, Keith Whitley, and Bill Monroe as I drove my pick-up to places like Harlan, Pikeville, and Pineville. It was strange and beautiful at the same time.”

McBride & The Ride Interview by Big Al Weekley for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

“Right place, right time-mullets and tight jeans!” Get ready to ride. Everybody loves a comeback and the resurgence of the 90’s country would not be complete without McBride & The Ride triumphantly bursting back onto the scene. The original line up of Ray Herndon (vocals/guitar), Terry McBride (vocals/bass) and Billy Thomas (vocals/drums) have been in the studio recording new music and will take the stage to introduce fans to the new songs as well as delight them with the classics. The band has reunited for an EP featuring four brand new originals and a remake of the Webb Pierce classic, "Honky Tonk Song,” for Marlboros & Avon, which will be released in 2023. Fans can expect the same tight-knit harmonies with a modernized sound and storytelling lyrics that is undeniably country. With nearly 30 years of collective touring between them, the trio has come together and are sounding better than ever. “Honestly we are having a blast. It feels like we haven’t missed a beat,” McBride shares. “Our harmonies are locked in, our musicianship is elevated, and we are just having so much fun. Our new music has a hint of that 90s sound along with our signature three-part harmonies that McBride & The Ride is known for. We kept it simple and recorded everything as a four-piece band, which allows us to perform these songs live with the same sound and instrumentation that was used on the record.”

Mark Blomsteel Interview by Big Al Weekley for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Nashville recording artist Mark Blomsteel was born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At an early age he was diagnosed with a genetic eye disease that would leave him legally blind. Limited vision never stopped him from chasing his goals and dreams. Mark, always busy with his musical passion, started writing songs at the age of 11. After graduating high school Mark decided to go to university. By that time he already had his own radio show and worked for MTV Networks. It was during the last year of college when he met British producer Paul ‘Tubbs’ Williams.

Williams, who previously worked with The Spice Girls and Boyzone, invited Mark to the UK after listening to some of his demo recordings. Together they recorded ‘Leaving it all behind’ a song written by Mark. This song was to be Williams’ last work. Shortly after mixing the track he sadly died from a heart attack. In 2008 a former producer of the legendary Beach Boys came across Mark’s songs and wanted him to come work on a couple of tracks in his Treasure Isle Recorders, the Nashville based studio where the likes of Johnny Cash, Sheryl Crow and Dolly Parton used to record as well as Jason Aldean, who to date recorded all his platinum albums there. They brought together a team of the best studio musicians including bandleader Chris Leuzinger, who played on every Garth Brooks album. In the years to come Mark recorded numerous times at Treasure Isle Recorders and released different albums in Europe, rapidly getting airplay on Dutch and European radio and performing on various television shows. This caught the interest of Warner Music Benelux who were very interested in working together with their Nashville office to make Mark an international star. A deal however never materialized. Mark has won multiple CMA Awards: 2012: Song of the year (What’s that Cowgirl See in me) 2014: Male vocalist of the year 2014 2014: Most promising act 2014 2017: Song of the year (Lived & Gone To Heaven) 2017: Album of The Year “#Dutchboy”

The Relentless Bluegrass of Marty Falle By Vickie McIntyre for Country Music News International Magazine

Horse racing has the Triple Crown, and baseball has its prestigious “batting the cycle,” but the music industry has yet to coin a phrase that captures the improbability of releasing three original chart-topping albums in a single year. If they did, Marty Falle, Bluegrass singer/ songwriter would wear the badge of honor for 2023. It all started with the release of Kentucky Blue Star in March of 2023, an album that showcases backing vocalists Marty Slayton (George Strait) and Kim Parent (Brooks and Dunn) as well as a diversity of songs ranging from the up-tempo, swing-your-partner melody of the single “Kentucky Blue Star” to the mournful ballad “Cherokee” and the double-time, rock-a-billy tune, “Daytona.”

In 1970, Anderson signed with Columbia Records, where she was produced by her first husband, Glenn Sutton. She had her biggest commercial success with “Rose Garden”. Throughout the decade, Anderson also had number-one hits with “You’re My Man“, “How Can I Unlove You“, “Keep Me in Mind“, and “What a Man My Man Is“. She also became a television personality, with appearances on The Tonight Show, specials with Bob Hope and Dean Martin, and her own prime-time specials. After a brief hiatus, Anderson returned with the studio album Back (1983). The album spawned three singles, including the top ten hit “You’re Welcome to Tonight“, with Gary Morris. Robert K Orrman, a Nashville music critic, gave the CD a "Must Listen" in his Music Row Magazine column. He stated "It's my kind of record". Between his 1st CD "My Future Ain't What It Use To Be" and his 2nd CD "Unapologetically Honky Tonk" he charted 6 times on the Best In Texas chart and is a staple on the European CMA Chart having scored 5 #1's off of his second CD. He recentlyd id a tour in England and Wales which was a huge success. Maverick Magazine, the Country Music Magazine of the UK, did an exteded article on him as did The Best In Texas magazine. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing Lonnie perform live then put on your boots; get ready to laugh, dance and hear what Texas Honky Tonk sounds like because LONNIE SPIKER is "COMING TO A HONKY TONK NEAR YOU"...OH and by the way, that is the title of his 3rd CD which includes duets with Amber Digby and Justin Trevino.

Coming from meager beginnings and a series of challenges in her young adult life that would have made the strongest of strong turn tail and run, only served as more fuel to her fire for Rainer to charge onward to greatness.
