Thus, we have compiled some information for our clients for planning and operating high risk missions.

Currently the only operational airport in Afghanistan is in Kabul.

Nevertheless, Redstar has also previous experience with evacuations from/to areas such as Bagram, Mazar-i-Sharif, Farah and Kandahar and has established specialized procedures for these kinds of missions. In light of the increased operational and safety risk, special several factors must be taken into consideration when planning a mission to/from Afghanistan, including:

·??All missions from/to Kabul are performed with our Challenger 605 due to its long-range capability and ability to operate without the need of refueling in Kabul.

·??Missions can only be performed between sunrise and sunset.

·??Activation time is around 12 hours and is further dependent on the working hours & days of the local Civil Aviation Authorities.

·??Due to security reasons, only tarmac pick up is possible. Bed to bed service or medical escort services cannot be provided in this region.

·??Ground ambulance service can be arranged upon the client’s request.

With hundreds of flights successfully and safely completed out of conflict zones, Redstar Aviation is a true expert for such high-risk missions. Besides repatriation and evacuation Air Ambulance flights, Redstar Aviation is also capable of assisting in transferring patients from Kabul to nearby regions such as Baku, Dubai and Istanbul for further treatment.
