Countries: Cayman Islands
The?Cayman?Islands?is a self-governing British territory comprising of the islands of?Grand Cayman,?Cayman Brac?and?Little Cayman, which are located south of?Cuba?and north-east of?Honduras, between?Jamaica?and Mexico's?Yucatán Peninsula. They're considered to be part of the?Greater Antilles.
There is no record of a native people to the Cayman Islands, such as groups like the Arawak or Carib people who were native to most of the Caribbean though the name Cayman comes from the word for crocodile (caiman) in the language of the Arawak-Taíno people.
Most Caymanians today are of mixed European and African descent, coming from early British settlers and enslaved people from Africa.
There is also a sizable South Asian population, mainly made up of immigrants from India and the Philippines.
The history of the Cayman Islands' role in the cotton and timber economy, in which slaves played a large part, tends to be neglected.

Following the Great Flood (c. 2100 BC), which destroys all of humanity except the family of Noah, Genesis 10 presents a family tree in the form of a branched or segmented genealogy, tracing the descendants of Noah’s three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their descendants. Many of these names become future nations, tribes, lands and cities, known to us from elsewhere in the Bible and from extra-biblical sources: Accordingly, this chapter is referred to as the “Table of Nations.”
In the Book of Genesis, the mountains of Ararat is the term used to designate the region in which Noah's Ark comes to rest after the Great Flood (c. 2100 BC), which destroys all of humanity except the family of Noah.
From these eight people …. Noah, his sons and their wives …? the whole earth was populated.
