Countries: Argentina
Argentina, officially the?Argentine Republic, is a country in the southern half of?South America. It shares borders with Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, and Uruguay.
Chimor?(also?Kingdom of Chimor?or?Chimú Empire) was the political grouping of the?Chimú culture which arose about 900 AD, and was later conquered by the?Inca Emperor Topa Inca Yupanqui?around 1470.
While still heir‐apparent to the throne Topa Inca Yupanqui led his father's armies north, to conquer the powerful Chimú state on the north coast of Peru. After his accession to the throne he extended the empire to the south, conquering the northern half of Chile and part of Argentina. He also built the fortress of Sacsahuaman, overlooking the imperial city of Cuzco. His successor, Huayna Capac (1493–1525) extended the northern boundaries even further, conquering Ecuador and founding Quito as the second Inca capital.
The history of Argentina dates back thousands of years, with the first human settlements beginning on the southern end of Patagonia, a geographical region that encompasses the southern end of South America, governed by Argentina and Chile 13,000 years ago. The indigenous people here and in the Pampas were hunters and gatherers and included the Yamana and the Tehuelches.
In the pre-Columbian era, many indigenous societies flourished in Mesoamerica before the Spanish colonization of the Americas began on Hispaniola in 1493.
Among the earliest of these was the?Olmec?civilization, which inhabited the?Gulf Coast of Mexico?and extended inland and southwards across the?Isthmus of Tehuantepec and flourished from roughly 1200 to 400?BC.
The generally accepted belief is that the Olmecs, who carved a collection of 17 giant stone head sculptures, arose from people within the area, although some have suggested that the Olmecs may have originally come from Africa.?
The Maya civilization developed in the?Maya region of Mesoamerica. An area that today comprises southeastern?Mexico, all of?Guatemala?and?Belize, and the western portions of?Honduras?and?El Salvador, first settled by Palaeoindians.
Mayan King K?inich Janaab Pakal (r. 615-683 AD), also known as Pakal the Great, was a?Palenque?native born?to Lady?Sak K?uk??of the ruling Palenque Dynasty and K?an Mo? Hix.
Pakal the Great was married to the Lady Tzakbu Ajaw and had three sons who succeeded him in rule.
The Palenque Dynasty believed that rule descended from an ancestor known as The First Mother and so female rulers, though not common, were not unusual. It was understood, however, that a female monarch would step down as soon as a male heir reached the age of maturity.
Zapotec civilization originated in the?Central Valleys of Oaxaca?in the late 6th century BC. Like most Mesoamerican religious systems, the Zapotec religion was polytheistic.

The last battle between the Aztecs and the Zapotecs occurred between 1497 and 1502, under the Aztec ruler?Ahuizotl.
The?Aztecs were a?Mesoamerican?civilization that flourished from 1300 to 1521 founded by King Itzcoatl who ruled from 1427 to 1440.
During the reign of Moctezuma I, from 1440 to 1469, the Aztecs extended their borders southward to the Valley of Oaxaca, westward to the Pacific, and eastward to the Gulf of Mexico.
Another of these civilizations is that of the Toltecs. Much of what is known is based on what's been learned about the Aztecs, who postdated the Toltecs.
One of the earliest historical mentions of Toltecs was in the 16th century by the?Dominican friar?Diego Durán in The History of the Indies of New Spain.
Following the Great Flood (c. 2100 BC), which destroys all of humanity except the family of Noah, Genesis 10 presents a family tree in the form of a branched or segmented genealogy, tracing the descendants of Noah’s three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their descendants. Many of these names become future nations, tribes, lands and cities, known to us from elsewhere in the Bible and from extra-biblical sources: Accordingly, this chapter is referred to as the “Table of Nations.”
In the Book of Genesis, the mountains of Ararat is the term used to designate the region in which Noah's Ark comes to rest after the Great Flood (c. 2100 BC), which destroys all of humanity except the family of Noah.
From these eight people …. Noah, his sons and their wives …? the whole earth was populated.
