This is a space pen. I’m sure you’ve heard the story that it cost millions for NASA to develop a pen that worked in zero gravity, but the Russians used a pencil instead.
Nice story, but sadly it’s not true. NASA also used pencils on their first manned space missions. They even used Pentel pens, but kept it quiet because they were Japanese.
The space pen was developed independently by Paul Fisher in the mid Sixties. Eventually NASA did buy a variant of this pen for use on some Apollo and Skylab missions for data recording. So Fisher can claim it’s been used in space – but it was not developed by NASA and it almost certainly did not cost millions of pounds.
We can help you sort out the reality from your competitor’s spin and build compelling arguments that get over your proposition in a persuasive and engaging way.
