It is much easier to think of combating counterfeiting than to act on it. There are much of hurdles for the in- house counsellors to take decision to take extreme steps in the infringement of their own trademark. India’s economic growth story has attracted world’s attention, but with which brands, are they with Indian Brands or with foreign brands. There is no law to prevent piracy in the country called EFFECTIVE. A lot of loop holes help pirates carrying the business with one day lock up shelter. This is the real distrust to the economy. A few of these are counterfeits, pass-offs and smuggling that are threatening domestic brands and industry. Did ever any one had thought of SERIOUSNESS OF THE BRAND IMAGE DE-VALUATION.

Companies in FMCG, Fashion wears, eatables aren't they aware of the rapid growth in counterfeit market. Indian markets today are flooded with goods imported from all over the world both through legitimate and illegitimate routes. An important effect of these illegally imported goods is that they are not only causing a loss to the national exchequer but also forcing our small and medium industries to close down their operations thereby affecting employment1 growth. Take ACMA, are their associated members brands in serious hit due to failure to check their brands being counterfeited, a year due to sales of counterfeit auto components.
