Is Counter Offer the New Normal ?

I've been hearing a lot about the counter offerings for a long time, but I haven't published any evaluations about it until now.

Now, after speaking with a number of candidates who have accepted counter offers, I am publishing this piece.

No worries about taking counter offers, it might help you to get a good salary hike.?

After taking a counter offer there would be two things.

1. Result?
2. Regret?

As someone is offering you a higher salary then someone else, they will definitely keep higher expectations from your end too.?

But while running behind the money hike game do remember to take care of the following things.?

• First be clear with each other's expectations. It might be possible that you both are not on the same page.?
• Is it not something in which you are compromising with your values, ethics and personality.?
• Take care of your relations with your current employer. Where you have spent a long time, learn new things, skills and emerge a better version of yourself.??
• Look forward to company culture and stability, including work-life balance.?
• Think twice or thrice about your decisions.?
• If your heart is telling you no please don’t go for it.?
• Most important, do not compare yourself with others.?
• Always check employer reviews before proceeding for interviews as well.?
• Do not compromise permanent satisfaction for temporary temptations.?
• Make sure that you are maintaining your stability with current or future employers. It will give futuristic books to your career journey.?

If you are genuinely getting convincing answers for the above points then there is no big deal to accepting counteroffers. But if you are genuinely not getting satisfactory answers for the above points, please avoid going for the highest salary only.

Rather than that choose the best one on the basis of satisfaction.?

We always do have two choices in life.

1. Easy one?
2. Right one

Our choices have made us who we are today and it will only decide who we will be in the future.??
