Countdown to New Brunswick!

Countdown to New Brunswick!

Today is the day!?Registration?for the?Global Seafood Alliance’s?Responsible Seafood Summit?is now open! This year, we’re off to beautiful Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, for four days of education, networking and field trips.?What’s special about our event is that it’s always evolving. We do not rest on our laurels by holding the same event in the same location each year. Each event is unique, embracing the identity and culture of the host country.

So what else is different about this year’s event? For one, we slashed?registration fees. If you’re based in Canada or work for a?GSA corporate member, NGO or academic or government institution, you qualify for the lowest rate of $795 USD through June 30.?GSA individual and small business members as well as organizations with Best Aquaculture Practices- and Best Seafood Practices-certified facilities also qualify for reduced rates. Our special guest room rate at the Delta, the event’s headquarters, and the neighboring Hilton is only $249 CAD. But availability is limited, so act fast.

We’re organizing more?networking opportunities, including resurrecting the gala reception and dinner, which will be held at the historic Imperial Theatre, and we’re offering more field trips to production facilities, with Cooke Seafood and Connors Bros. among the destinations. The?program?has evolved, too, with sessions structured to?unite?seafood professionals from?both?aquaculture and fisheries to discuss shared responsibilities and goals. This is not a clique. It’s an opportunity to forge new friendships and alliances.

None of this is possible without the support or our co-host, the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association, and our 15 sponsors (so far). Thank you! It’s not too late to sponsor, and I encourage any organization thinking about registering two or more employees to consider?sponsorship, as each level includes complimentary registration in addition to brand visibility.
