Intershop: Hi Herbert, thank you for contributing to our upcoming global customer summit, the Intershop Inpulse 2022! Today we’d like to shine a light on you, your company, and find out how attendees of Intershop Inpulse can benefit from you and your organization’s expertise. So, what makes you special?

Herbert: Commerce at Valtech touches all service lines: Transformation consulting, connected experiences, digital platforms and marketing services. All with the goal to align people, processes, and platforms in a sustainable and scalable way. In our partnership with Intershop, specifically, we have a strong focus on B2B Manufacturers in Europe.

Intershop: Why B2B Manufacturers?

Herbert: We see that a lot of international B2B Manufacturers are confronted with buyers that are behaving more and more like consumers. This requires companies to rethink the way they do business. And that is where we come in!

Intershop: We’ve been partners for quite some time now, since your “Evident” days ?? - What would you say was the proudest moment with regard to our partnership so far?

Herbert: It’s hard to pick, but I’m especially proud of two things. The first is the work we did for Atlas Copco. The size and complexity of this Swedish multinational Manufacturer of industrial tools is impressive. Using Intershop, we successfully realized an e-commerce platform with over 80 different sales channels used in over 70 countries, for 5 brands, in 16 languages.

Another thing I’m very proud of is that we have been Intershop Partner of the year for 4 years in a row (and hopefully more to come). These awards are a great appreciation for the work we have been doing and the growth we have been achieving together.

Intershop: And now you’re part of the Intershop community that will make the upcoming Inpulse 2022 a blast!

Herbert: Definitely, yes! The theme of Inpulse is a great match with our slogan “We transform by doing”. We focus on boosting the business of B2B Manufacturers powered by digital innovation. So, really making impact on the results/business by leveraging digital.

Intershop: What will our attendees learn from you guys in Amsterdam?

Herbert: Well, they’ll see that Valtech is a real powerhouse in the B2B digital e-commerce field. That we don’t just do marketing for B2C companies, but that we have great success stories with international B2B Manufacturers. So we will be able to share lots and lots of success stories, best practices and battle-proven ideas to make e-commerce the most profitable sales channel for everyone!

Intershop: Sounds awesome, as usual ?? But, do you have proof of all this?

Herbert: Sure we do. We are coming to Inpulse with Rijk Zwaan. An international producer of vegetable seeds that offer their products in over 100 countries.

Intershop: Over 100 countries, wow!

Herbert: Yes, we assisted Rijk Zwaan in building a digital commerce platform that offers a wide variety of digital services to offer a relevant and personalized experience to all their customers. Together with Gertjan Kleinhout (Group Manager Client Support - Digital Commerce @ Rijk Zwaan), I will give a presentation onHow to roll out ecommerce globally in a complex B2B environment during Inpulse. Intershop: In times like these, I am sure that learning how to efficiently grow your business internationally will get a lot of attention. But let’s wrap this up! I have a fun question: If your partnership with Intershop was a song, which one would it be and why?

Herbert: We ask all our colleagues and clients to select their favorite album for our record collection at our Utrecht office. From our joint customer, RAI Amsterdam, we received an album by Andre Hazes, ‘Een Vriend’ (A Friend). This is a great referral to our relationship with Intershop. And the relationships we built with this and many other joint customers.

Although the friendship in the song doesn’t end well, we hope our friendship will last for many years to come?? . Click on the picture to tune in:
