The Countdown Has Begun!

The Countdown Has Begun!

Am I alone in this feeling of anticipation?  As a numbers girl, the idea that in two months we will be stepping into 2020 has me excited, hoping for all I envision to come into focus.  Get it?  2020 vision? This has me considering how I want to step into 2020.

By setting goals for myself, I achieve so much more than I would if I never did.  Luckily, I am a student of The Power of TED*, which taught me a strategy for accomplishing those goals so it makes it easier knowing I will follow through.

So what are my goals for these last three months, that I began October 1st?

  1. Thinking about the triad of physical fitness, I’ve decided to try out Cross-Fit. Granted, I am anxious beyond words, but I am 55 years old and have known forever that in order to stay healthy as I age, I need to incorporate strength training, and yet I haven’t.  So, I checked out Home Roots Crossfit in hopes that I fall in love with it and want to continue in 2020. Conveniently, Stefani Boyce also offers yoga after CrossFit so I can get in stretching and more stillness. And I ran my third half-marathon of the season a couple Saturdays ago so cardio is locked in.
  2. I have an accountability partner lined up for managing my finances as I create my ideal backyard sanctuary, praying I get much of it competed before winter hits.
  3. My book, Messages of the Monarch, How to Find Your Wings and Fly will be completed by year-end to launch in 2020.
  4. I will dedicate solid time each morning to turning my day over to God, reading scripture and journaling.

I picture my life with these in place and feel a sense of calm.

I love the quote by Patricia Fripp, a world-renown speaker says, "Tell me what your goals are and then let me see your calendar for next week and we will both know if you will achieve those goals or not." Time to put some things on the calendar!

HERE'S A CRAZY GOOD TIP: Are you up for it? What have you always wished you could do but haven’t?  These next three months lead us into 2020.  Let your vision come into focus of what your life up-leveled would look like and don’t wait, DO IT!
