Today is World Autism Awareness Day which aims to highlight the hurdles that people with autism and others living with autism goes through every day and to celebrate the unique talents of those with autism. Many parents are learning to accept and support their children daily to encourage their own child/sibling/family member to develop life skills for these beautiful people to manage their daily challenges.
As a mother to a beautiful blessing of God, I am happy to share that I have a son who is nonverbal and diagnosed with mild to moderate autism disorder (I prefer to call it special order ??). Though things can be challenging, I am learning many new things every single day and all these challenges keep me motivated and stronger.
I am writing this today not to gain sympathy but to rather share that every moment we go through in life holds a reason and that there is always sunshine after a heavy downpour. This COVID-19 MCO situation has been a struggle to many and a blessing to some. It is mentally exhausting and I would like to take this opportunity to share that it is okay to breakdown. Do let go of your feelings once a while and move on. Take what is good and focus on what will help you to be stronger. I believe positivity is the only way to keep you going and the positive energy you carry is always bursting with beautiful spectrum to the people around you. Celebrate your blessings and believe that this tough phase will pass soon!
For those who have been impacted with this current situation, and if you are in IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity space, feel free to reach out to me. We can have a chat to see how we, from Ambition, can support you. And if you are a parent or a family member of an autistic person, let's connect too! DM me or drop me an email at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you!
P.S: If you are reading this on 2nd April by any chance, do wear Blue and support us today to spread the awareness! ??
