I came across a great article that highlights the difference between why some accountants have very satisfied clients, while others aquired a lot for tax work, but fail to go beyond the level of a transaction based relationship.
Why? Because so many accountants are "Grinders" Just grind through the work and get it done, task focused vs client and people oriented and thinking beyond the task at hand to the impact that this may have on the individual and business.

If you are looking for a better advisory relationship with your accountant, then maybe it is finding one with the social interest and ability and serve you in the way that you want to be sereved. That is a hard task because the industry is dominated by grinders and those grinders teach those under them the way to be more grinders. The whole business model is set up to produce grinders too...charge as many billable hours as you can to each job.
I'm not saying I'm going to be your solution (although I would love to talk and see if we are a fit), but looking for the person and their style in an accounting relationship is going to make a huge long term difference. If you are tired of the same old transactional based service and want someone more involved in building your business and advising, then feel free to reach out so we can explore how I can help.
I'm able to show my average client where they can get 8% more profits, we have a great time going after and keeping it and then we have a common goal of getting them out of the details of the business, freeing them up to have both time and money to do the things they love in life. If that sounds intriguing to you, let's talk.
