Could a new era of disruption with the use of AI Technology transform the way ID Coaching and Personal Training is done?

Individual Design has helped us at RPTC Tactical & Fitness Institute rapidly grow in the recent years. The focus on personalised, data-driven programming has helped our business create tailored fitness and lifestyle plans that have helped clients achieve their goals.?

However, looking at scalability of our current business model and finding SME's with great experience and further grow our business, is something that is somewhat of a challenge and maybe even something that might even slowdown- or stagnate our growth, if this challenge is not addressed.

The above suggests that finding subject matter experts with great experience may be one solution to this challenge. But I personally doubt this, as finding people in the current market seems almost impossible and also a huge investment at first.?

Before entering the fitness industry back in 2011, I had a background as an Enterprise Architect for over 22 years, with a strong focus on designing large enterpise architecrures and personalization technologies, using Machine Learning, Artificicial Intelligence. Since 2013 I'm leveraging my passion for S&C and Coaching, that took me on a new journey as the founder and owner of RPTC Fitness. My mission is to blend my technological expertise with my passion for individualized fitness.

"I personally belief that the rise of AI technology will bring us a new era of disruption, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to transform the way ID coaching is done. Technology could bring us the missing link to overcome the challenges and limitations in the ID coaching industry, and provide a more effective and efficient approach to personalised coaching.?AI can learn from past designs to improve future ones, and can make use of large datasets to identify patterns and predict outcomes.?And, AI can work 24/7 without fatigue or loss of focus???"

At the heart of ID coaching is the idea of providing individualized training programs that cater to an individual's unique needs and goals. Coaches typically achieve this by using a combination of their own expertise, data analytics, and years of experience to create bespoke programs for their clients. However, this process can be time-consuming and may not always be scalable or cost-effective.

This is where AI comes in. By leveraging AI technology, ID coaches can automate and optimize many aspects of their programming process, allowing them to provide faster, more efficient, and more effective programs to their clients, but also many more clients.

One of the main benefits of AI in ID coaching is its ability to process and analyze vast amounts of data quickly and accurately. This can help coaches identify patterns, trends, and insights that may be difficult for a human coach to detect at a fast pace. AI can also use this data (based on principals and datasets) to create personalised programs that cater to an individual's unique needs and goals, while also taking into account other factors such as age, fitness level, and medical history.

Another benefit of AI in ID coaching is its ability to provide (semi)real-time feedback and adjustments. AI algorithms can monitor a client's progress and performance, and make changes to their program as needed to ensure they are getting the most out of their training. This can help clients achieve their goals faster and with less risk of injury or undercover (burnout.)

However, there are also some potential drawbacks to relying solely on AI technology in ID coaching. For one, AI lacks the human touch and intuition that a coach can bring to the table. AI programming may also perpetuate biases or overlook important details that a human coach could catch. Furthermore, the use of AI technology can be expensive and may require significant investment in infrastructure and resources.

Therefore, the key to successfully integrating AI into ID coaching is finding the right balance between human and AI programming skills. Coaches should focus on leveraging AI technology to automate routine tasks, analyze data, and provide real-time feedback. However, they should also maintain an active role in creating personalised programs and providing a human touch to their coaching.

The use of AI technology in ID coaching is still in its early stages, but it is clear that it has the potential to revolutionise the way coaching is done. By embracing this technology, us coaches can provide faster, more efficient, and more effective programs to their clients, helping them achieve their goals more efficiently and effectively than ever before.

I recognize that the integration of AI technology in the fitness industry might not be a priority for many coaches at the moment. However, I firmly believe that this area will progress more rapidly than we can anticipate. We can already observe emerging companies like EvolveAI and JuggernautAI (both founded on similar principles) paving the way by developing the building blocks for AI-driven Individual Design. As this technology advances, it will become increasingly essential for coaches to understand and embrace the opportunities it presents.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this topic.

Yes, coaches could benefit from using AI to create individualized programming for their clients. AI can assist coaches in creating personalized workout programs that are tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. For example, AI can analyze data such as an individual's fitness level, training history, body composition, and other health metrics to create a workout program that is specifically designed to meet their needs. It can also take into account an individual's preferences, such as the types of exercises they enjoy and their preferred training frequency. While handwritten individual design programming is still effective, AI can provide coaches with an objective, data-driven approach to program design. It can also help coaches save time (read: cost saving/increased productivity) and improve the accuracy of their programming. However, I feel it is important to note that AI should not replace human coaches entirely. Coaches play a critical role in providing guidance, feedback, encouragement and support to their clients in order to reach their full potential. They can use AI as a tool to enhance their coaching services.

I was having this exact conversation few weeks back. If you could build an app overlaying AI which generates an individualized program based on a set of personal questions, you can instantly scale up immensly. The only drawback is ofcourse that the greatest programming does nothing if the person doesn't follow it. So therefore our role as coaches is still very valuable. I think a hybrid model will be the way the go, the AI app does (all) the programmering and adjustments based on the input of the trainee. It also does the reporting on the back end to the coaches and we as coaches 'only' have to schedule regular checkins with our clients for the personal touch on a more mental/emotional aspect. Based on those outcomes, we could go in the app and make some adjustments as well. That way you can scale your customers portfolio perhaps x5 or x10. ???
