Everyone loves company, but did you know good company is also great for your health? The feeling of being loved releases a flood of potent hormones into the bloodstream. This flood of potent hormones not only makes us feel better emotionally, it also significantly strengthens our immune system.

Humans are social creatures by nature and need each other to survive, starting when we are very young and learning to depend on each other for survival.
Our positive family relationships or any other positive relationships from friends, or even pets, improves our immune system and could be healing. Friends prevent loneliness and give you a chance offering needed companionships. Positive company can increase your sense of belonging and purpose, boost your happiness and reduce your stress, improve your self-confidence and self-worth, and help you cope with any traumas. People have many reasons for not being comfortable accepting love from others.
Based on the results of brain MRIs and blood and saliva tests, we know that feeling loved and supported releases hormones into our bloodstream; such hormones include serotonin, relaxin, endorphins, and oxytocin, which keep us happy and healthy.
These hormones lower cortisol, improve blood circulation, lower blood pressure and heart rate, improve digestion, clear out toxins, increase natural killer cells and a number of white blood cells, red blood cells, IgA3 and helper T cells, activity that helps the immune system clear out infections and renew energy to repair cells and fight cancer. This helps lower inflammation overall, improving sleep, relieving feelings of restlessness, and decreasing chronic pain as muscle tension and pain perception lower.

Negative relationships could increase cortisol levels, and a depletion of our immune system. Studies have shown that having pets releases the same hormones, and pet owners live longer than people who don’t have pets.
Time to mingle for positive health! Yay!
How do you Find Positive Support? –Tweet this!
Amidst all the noise and chaos of our world, LOVE HEALS, you get it! How do we find those people that are going to lift us up and not drag us down?
Joining support groups or taking a class at a local gym or community venue like a library will help you locate those people with similar interests. Then invite acquaintances with a similar goal for a meal or green shake.
Finding groups in your faith communities or volunteering at the hospital, place of worship, community center, museum, or other charitable organizations are also great ways to connect, meet new people, and form strong connections with those who have similar goals and mutual interests. Joining a chat group or online community might help you make or maintain connections and relieve loneliness.
Note: Remember to exercise caution when sharing personal information or arranging an activity with someone you’ve only met online.
Remember to also treat someone the way you want to be treated, so never under estimate random acts of kindness and generosity include smiling, holding the door open for someone, and reaching out to the ones you love.
Chat with neighbors who are out as you take your child or pet for a walk, or pick up the phone to call those you love and tell them you were thinking of them. Call someone else the next day, and continue to repeat the process.
