Could this forced work from home experience show us that work from home arrangements will most likely be the new future?

Big companies around the world are already announcing that they will let their employees work from home indefinitely or keep them working remotely more often.

Could we all work remotely more frequently?

In my opinion, working from home will work for all jobs that reward and inspire the worker. When we were asked to work from home for the first time I felt bad because I didn't know how to prove to my director that I actually do some work and I'm not using the time for my own good. So I believe trust between the employee and the employer is really important in order for this to work.

I can't predict the future and I know that this is going to be a difficult decision for lots of businesses because let's be honest even before the pandemic, many employers refused to let staff work from home full-time or part-time so some of them will probably return to their old ways.

I just hope that now when work-from-home has been shown to be possible for millions of workers more employers will let some of their employees work from home.

Working from home is good for most businesses (difficult for coffee shops or plumbers) but they must solve human interaction and isolation problem.

I think the past few months have proved that companies are able to make remote working work for employees in the future (pardon the pun). If people are in the position to work from home and would like to, I don't see why not! Personally I enjoy going into the office and working alongside my colleagues. That being said, I do sometimes enjoy the odd work from home day!
