When individuals can no longer differentiate between their thoughts and the teachings they've absorbed over the years, it can be both enlightening and disorienting. People often criticize certain actions or ideas, labeling them as wrong or impractical. Yet, when someone acts on such an idea and succeeds, the same people might praise it as brilliant, claiming, “We told you so.” In truth, one realizes that listening to God’s voice and carefully choosing whose advice to heed are critical skills one must learn independently.
A particular concept called "The Zebra Question" sparked some deep reflection: Was this person lazy because they were unemployed, or were they simply unemployed because they were lazy? Laziness was a key challenge in 2024. However, as 2025 unfolds, progress appears to have been made. Though outwardly it might seem like no effort is being put in, or that everything is a series of wrong steps, the realization hit that life has never been as simple as it seemed. Success demands patience, networking, skill acquisition, education, moral discipline, passion, and growth all of which require hard work and a smart approach. None of these come easily or without effort.
For years, people remained in a cocoon, comfortably working a 9-to-5 job, oblivious to the struggles and strategies of those operating in the "24-hour business" world. Entering that world blindly, without adequate preparation, became a hard lesson. Returning to the stability of a 9-to-5 job proved impossible, as it became evident that they had never fully embraced that structure in the first place. Instead, the allure of the results achieved by entrepreneurs, the "24-hour" workers, overshadowed the immense effort required to achieve those results. This led to an oversight of the benefits and discipline the 9-to-5 world instills, which are essential foundations for transitioning into entrepreneurship.
Living in a world of fantasy and imagining the rewards of both lifestyles without acknowledging the dedication, diligence, and sacrifices they demand was a trap. While the levels of effort differ, the discipline built in a 9-to-5 job often provides the stamina necessary for entrepreneurship. Having skipped this crucial step, many find themselves doubling their efforts to achieve their goals. Yet, it often feels like all doors and windows are shut, when the reality is that the required training is lacking, and this is now holding them back. Neglecting baby steps and ignoring opportunities has made progress slow.
The path forward is clear: study, build the necessary character and discipline, and then pray. However, some individuals focused on prayer alone, continuing to repeat the same ineffective actions from 2024. A critical realization eventually emerged: even with consistent prayer and discipline, knowledge and certification from platforms like Coursera, Udemy, Khan Academy, and edX are vital. Not forgetting, financial investment is necessary to sustain any entrepreneurial endeavor. Whether working alone or hiring others, money is an essential resource.
Ultimately, success in any field whether as an employee or entrepreneur requires preparation and the right mindset. People need to learn that every step matters: gaining skills, building connections, and managing resources effectively. With renewed determination and a commitment to combining hard work with smart work, one can tackle the challenges of 2025 head-on. After all, smart work without a foundation of hard work is futile. Hard work builds agility, principles, and other benefits, including networking, that make smart work effective. The lessons of 2024 now serve as stepping stones for growth in 2025.
Now is the time to embrace discipline, take deliberate steps, and face challenges with courage. Let the lessons of the past guide you as you refine your approach and seize the opportunities that 2025 presents. Success is within reach, but only if you’re willing to do the work and make each step count.
