The Cost of Not Paying Attention What am I Paying Attention To Lately?

Podcasts! I had the opportunity to give a speech on Valentine’s Day to a group of about 75 HR professionals working on California’s Central Coast. One of the things that I talked about that day was how the pace of change is dramatically accelerating…with no end in sight. One of the ramifications of that pace of change is that it feels like time is actually speeding up – which I’m told is an impossibility! And that’s how it can feel.

 One of the things that is changing is the whole domain of podcasting. 

 As you may know if you’ve been following me for a while, I am on a mission to have the world of work be one in which everyone can thrive. A BIG mission! Which I will not achieve by myself nor in my lifetime. And, to get as close as I can get, I am using all the modalities I can: working with organizations, giving keynote talks, writing a book (more on that next month!), and doing podcasts. Podcasting listenership is expected to rise from over 82 million in 2021 to over 100 million by the end of next year!!
