Marcy's Musings
This year, just like last year, I asked Karen Kurchyne to lead us in setting intentions for 2025. It seems like a great idea to set intentions and some goals each year. You can watch our conversation together on our YouTube Channel.?
While you are thinking about setting your intention for this year, I invite you to think about what you would like from?NYNA. We do have a brief survey and would?appreciate your input.? Take a look and answer HERE.?
There are several Notary Bills that were introduced in the 2025 Session that NYNA is aiming to support. One of them being A03660 which proposes to Raise the Notary Fee to $5.
We sent a letter before the bill was proposed asking for a raise to $10. It is quite evident that our legislators need to hear from more than NYNA. Last year they let us know that they needed to hear that it was important to their constituents. That means individual notaries need to contact their legislator and express the desire to raise the notary fee.
If we want to see this happen, we need everyone to do all of the things to get it moved to committee, so it can go up for a vote.?We will be hosting a Legislative Session Kick Off on February 13 at 6pm and your presence is appreciated.
If we all work together, we can make great things happen. We hope you join us. Please register for log in information.?
