It is important to be proactive on mental health. Mental health rarely gets the attention or hits the headlines in any great detail. It needs to stay in the headlines until the world picks up on it and until there is change.
Mental Health and Covid-19
At the beginning of Covid-19 the media did talk about. In 15-years of writing I have never stopped talking about mental health, and never stopped dealing with it – but generally speaking, it remains in the shadows, despite being just as crucial, if not more so, than physical health. The truth is, without good mental health, everything becomes a struggle. It affects how we think, how we feel, and how we interact with the world.
Mental Health?and our inability to Function
When mental health suffers, so does our ability to function, to survive. Issues create invisible battles that do affect a person's energy, motivation and sense of self-worth that interferes with physical health. It’s not just about feeling sad or stressed. Many suffer in silence at a cost. Good mental health is a preventative measure for disease.
Mental Health and Suicide

Suicide is one of the most devastating consequences of untreated mental health struggles. It’s a reality that too many face, when they feel there is no way out. The next mental health issue is cancer. Yet, the stigma, which is man-made, keeps people from speaking out about how they feel, seeking help, and knowing they’re not alone.
Attitudes in Society
Attitudes in society MUST change. It's not difficult to lend a helping hand, say a kind word, be understanding, tolerant and patient. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Society needs to talk about it. It all starts with working on ourselves, on our mental health. It's not difficult. It's also important not to rely on others to 'fix us' – what we should be doing is fixing ourselves. Awareness needs to be raised. Help for those who struggle to help themselves, need to have that help needs to be more accessible.

Awareness has to raised. Help has to be extended. Couldn’t agree more with you Ilana Estelle Author Suffering in silence is costing us more than we think it does. It absolutely hurts, brings down morale, and damages performance.
