THE COST OF FOSSIL FUEL AFFECTS EVERYTHING IN NIGERIA

Good morning this morning ? How is this period going for you ?
Nigerians are not smiling ?? ?? ?? ???
During this period in Nigeria, if you're not queuing at a fueling station, you will have to hustle to withdraw money from either inside the bank or at the ATM stand.
Better still, you would be the POS stand to "buy" Naira ??
You might have as well decided to stay back at home if you have the choice.?
THIS IS NO LONGER FUNNY
I would not say the CBN intended these hitches from the new note design, maybe their policy did not seem to work out. But then, there is a place for reversal or swiftness in proffering solutions to the "unintended" hardship they have caused.
On the other side,
If the hassle from the new note design dies down, we might still have to deal with the hike in fuel prices which has been lingering since last December.?
The cost of fuel affects every aspect of the economy with the consumers mostly at the receiving end.?
When there is a high cost of fuel, there is a hike in logistics particularly affecting the transportation of agricultural produce.?
领英推荐
Service providers will factor in the high cost of transportation when charging for their services. They also need to be able to meet up with the current standard of living.?
Who wants to make a loss?
Every trader adds the cost of transportation to the retail cost of a good. The end receivers are the consumers as they will have to pay high for goods and services.
What is the way forward?
Renewables?
Yes, this is fine ??.
But I fear the hike in fuel prices in Nigeria also affects the renewable energy businesses.?
The question now is, how do we solve this Nigeria's?complicated energy problems ?
Till I write again,

1 年It’s so sad that the country is in this pitiful situation. The greater problem is the citizens are still blinded by sentiments, hence are not ready to embrace the reality. Every sector is affected, people are suffering and election is at the corner. It’s in our hands to change the Nation for better, let’s elect the right leaders. God bless Nigeria ????

1 年This is one of the many "wicked problems" that is debilitating Nigeria's development. The problems are interconnected so that you cannot proffer a solution for one without touching the others and one wrong move will make everything worse (just like this new naira note policy). The solution also has to be unique to fit that particular problem, that particular narrative, as no wicked problem is alike. So I am also lost when it comes to a solution. I know however that the solution will come in form of a process, something gradual, not instantly. Our first step would be to actually have leaders who cares enough about this country to actually work hard towards a positive change by empowering future solution providers and giving them opportunities to make an impact in this country and the world as a whole.
