BHS Corrugated has developed an innovative calculation tool with which the strength of corrugated board can be determined more precisely in advance.        

Especially in times of rising paper prices, the efficient use of paper is a priority in corrugated board production. In best case scenario, the same strength values should be achieved with less paper.

BHS Corrugated is committed to the continuous development and optimization of corrugating roll profiles. However, anyone who has ever dealt with the calculation of corrugated board strength values will have noticed that the existing methods are only partially accurate.

BHS Corrugated has developed a calculation tool with which the strength values can now be predicted more precisely, and the corrugating roll profiles can therefore be better adapted to customer requirements.

The focus here is on determining corrugated board strength values such as ECT, BCT and FCT. An optimizer has been integrated into the calculation tool, which adjusts the profile regarding the respective weighting of the strength parameters. After entering the paper and existing profile data, a report is then automatically generated for the customer. This means that our customers are now even better supported in adapting their corrugated board to current market trends and requirements.
