Pipeline corrosion is typically kept in check with the one-two punch of coatings + cathodic protection. The PowerGens are installed and commissioned adjacent to each pipeline cathodic bed and electrically coupled to the IRT ICCP rectifiers with a standard cable. The company was able to retire the oversized Diesel gensets. Minimal fuel costs, using locally available Propane, improved economics when compared to multiple TEG, fuel cell or solar/battery systems, made PowerGen stand out.
