Correct use of drum chipper equipment method

Drum chipper equipment is a special equipment for producing wood chips. It is widely used in the material preparation section of fiberboard, paper?making and other industries. Its processing raw materials are mainly small-diameter tree trunks, wood harvesting residues, and wood processing residues (board skin strips, log cores, etc.). It can also be used to cut non-wood raw materials (such as hemp stalks, cotton stalks, reeds, bamboo, etc.). Drum chipper has the characteristics of high production capacity, wide practical range of raw materials, good quality of wood chips, safe operation and convenient maintenance. The following Lugang editor will explain to you how to use the drum chipper equipment:

1. After using the drum chipper for a period of time, some parts will have different degrees of looseness, wear and mechanical damage. If the operator does not understand the structural performance and use requirements of the chipper, and does not perform necessary technical maintenance on the equipment regularly, and fails to deal with some faults in time, or even operates with illness, it will accelerate the damage of parts, which will not only seriously affect the service life of the chipper, but also affect the quality of the chips. Therefore, correct use and timely maintenance are effective ways to prevent and reduce faults, extend service life and ensure the quality of wood chips.

2. The feed port size of drum chippers is generally large, which is mainly designed to adapt to a variety of raw materials, such as bent branches, edge boards and bundled small strips (waste veneer), etc. Do not mistakenly think that the feed port size determines the size of the logs that can be fed, otherwise it will damage the blade and the machine.

3. The instruction manual of the drum chipper generally stipulates the cross-section of the raw materials that the chipper can cut and the diameter of a single log. When approaching a large cross-section, the cutting length should not exceed 2m, and the moisture content of the cutting raw materials should be about 40% relative moisture content.

4. When starting the machine, you must first start the motor of the discharging system, and then start the main motor. After the speed of the knife roller is stable, you can start the feeding system to start feeding. When stopping, you must first turn off the feeding system, and when the knife roller can no longer cut the wood, you can turn off the main motor.

5. When the feeding system needs to be reversed, you must first press the stop button, wait for the feeding system to stop, and then press the reverse button. When you need to move forward again after reversing, you must also press the stop button first, then press the forward button. Do not move forward. The reverse button directly switches.

6. When tightening the flying knife and the bottom knife, you must use a torque wrench and torque multiplier that can accurately torque and tighten according to the specified torque value.

7. The flying knife bolts and bottom knife bolts are special high-strength bolts (bolt heads are marked). They must not be replaced with ordinary bolts to prevent failures. The service life of high-strength bolts is 1 year. After 1 year of use, they must be replaced.

8. The flying knives must be replaced as a set. When sharpening, the sharpening amount of the two flying knives should be consistent to ensure that the weight of each set of flying knives is consistent to avoid causing machine vibration.

9. Coolant must be added when sharpening the flying knife and the bottom knife to prevent the blade from overheating, burning or curling, so as to ensure the wear resistance of the blade

10. The accumulator bladder must be filled with nitrogen. Oxygen or compressed air is not allowed. Use the inflating tool that comes with it. Do not inflate the accumulator directly from the nitrogen bottle

11. The drum chipper must be operated in the working state of the hydraulic buffer system, otherwise it will cause machine vibration

12. When the chipper is operating, pay attention to observe whether the machine vibration has abnormal sounds. If the vibration is large or there is abnormal sound, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

13. When cutting under load, the operating current shall not exceed the rated current.
