In India, all corporate entities are expected to showcase their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Keeping this in mind, Hexaware has formulated a comprehensive vision for its CSR ethos.

Hexaware’s primary intent is to be constantly involved in activities and projects which contribute in various ethical ways to our surrounding community, aiming to impact all stakeholders in our society at large, in the geographies where we are present. Our activities are focused on ensuring a better quality of life to all, while creating value and ensuring sustainability. All Hexawarians are encouraged to demonstrate good corporate citizenship by picking a cause close to their heart and participating in any project of their choice. We are proud of all those, who voluntarily take part in these CSR activities to contribute enthusiastically, ensuring the success of these initiatives. Hexaware engages in strategic philanthropic programs that focus on serving the under-served, disadvantaged and marginalized communities. As a part of this, we partake in endeavours like attempting to bridge the digital divide or making the Earth a greener place. Hexaware is also committed to ensuring a flourishing Triple Bottom Line in its core operations, paying equal attention to and taking care of People, Profit, and Planet.

An Overview of Hexaware’s CSR Activities

In tune with our CSR goals, Hexaware has many programs running simultaneously, managed by a top leadership team who are committed to achieving the end results as targeted. Here’s an overview into the programs and classification based on their targeted results.

·????????Flagship Programs: Hexaware works on different projects which target Education, Skill Development and Women Empowerment. Conceptualized, funded and run by Hexaware, these are unique programs which fulfill our CSR goal of improving lives.

·????????Programs aligned with the National theme: Hexaware’s Projects related to Health & Sanitation, Digital & Financial Literacy are conceptualized in line with India’s key development agenda that helps to foster effective partnerships between corporates, NGOs and the National goals leading to social development.

·????????Stakeholder Management Programs: These are niche programs that are conceived, planned and driven by the core Management team. Projects are related to Sports, Art & Scholarship. These programs bring immense value to our core programs and are a source of National Pride. Our employees strong identify with such themes and programs.

·????????Sustainable Programs for Employee Engagement: These programs actively involve our employees in cementing various CSR strategies into the Hexaware brand while engaging them in numerous volunteer-run events. Projects are related to Environment and Support for Education.

Such classification helps maintain our focus on the key areas of Education, Women Empowerment, Environment, Health and Sanitation, Sports, Art and Culture, Natural Calamities and Disaster Relief, and Rural Development across the gamut of our CSR activities. Our volunteers are able to choose one of these causes to channelize their active collaboration and participation. Hexaware strives to keep employee engagement continuous and ongoing, as they pick any initiative which corresponds to their passion and commitment from a social, environmental, and ethical standpoint.

Hexaware’s CSR committee reviews the program and provides necessary course corrections during the tenure of the project, enabling it to reach its avowed goals. Our CSR governance mechanism is reviewed and monitored by the board members and senior leaders, every quarter. The senior leadership team approves strategy, policy and program, reviews its implementation on a quarterly basis, and checks the effective use of committed funds.

We also monitor and evaluate our CSR strategy and implementation with a compliance portal that tracks the progress of our programs against intended outcomes or targets. For this, we work with Goodera, who is our monitoring and evaluation partner. They provide us with necessary guidance related to CSR compliance, monitor and evaluate our programs on a monthly basis and advise us on the CSR initiatives that could be a part of our vision in the long run. We also carried out impact assessment of our programs to ensure we have a good impartial view on them and can take corrective actions if required.

For Hexaware, Corporate Social Responsibility is much more than a regulatory requirement or a business practice. In actuality, it is a powerful tool that enables societal change, empowers our employees and the spaces around us, helping make lives better. Year on year, we look forward to assessing what we have achieved in the year past, and what we need to achieve in the coming year and the years after.
