“I cannot stay in a 3-star or 4-star hotel. Come on, I am a Senior Director and need hotel and other travel arrangements as per my designation”, Karan was screaming at his travel assistant Amol.?During lunch time, Amol shared this incident with his colleagues on lunch table and all of them started laughing out loud. Sayali, who was part of other team jumped in the conversation and said, “I have also heard him bragging about his BMW and a costliest penthouse.” Manish, who was part of Karan’s team, shared his experiences, “Well, Karan is like that. He feels that he is king of the world due to his title. Now let me leave friends, ??? ?? ???? ???? ?? ??? ?? ??? ??!”. “???? ???? ?? ????”, everyone asked since they had not heard this term before. Manish said, “Karan just likes everyone praising him, calling his ideas as the best and give him credit for everything in the unit. That’s why we call meetings with him as ???? ?? ???? ??”. Niraj, HR head was listening to this conversation and was very concerned about impact of Karan’s attitude on the team around him.

?????????????Next day, Niraj called Karan for an informal chat and said to him, “Karan, it is good that you are at a senior position and have gained lot of wealth. But I humbly request to ensure that richness does not result in arrogance.” Karan got annoyed and said, “Nitin, I have earned this money & position through my intelligence and hard work. I deserve the command because of it.” Nitin said, “You certainly deserve credit for your efforts Karan, but see to it that it does not reflect as superiority complex. Let me tell you ??????? ?????????? ??? to explain my point.”

?????????????Once upon a time, in an Atpat city, there lived a person named Mohan. His married sister Gayatri was living in a nearby village in a poor family. One day, Mohan organized a grand lunch event but did not invite Gayatri, since he did not want a poor sister with old cloths showing up there. Gayatri still visited Mohan’s event considering their relation. But Mohan felt ashamed to see his poor sister, without any fancy attire & ornaments like others and insulted her. Gayatri returned back sadly. She put lot of efforts along with her family and soon became very rich. Knowing about her exceptional wealth, Mohan invited her for lunch thinking that he could benefit from her someday. He arranged a lunch plate with lot of dishes and sweets and asked her sister to start the lunch. Her sister took out her bangles and kept on the rice. She kept her diamond ring on vegetables and neckless on sweets. Mohan was very surprised to see this and asked what she was doing. Gayatri humbly said, “Mohan, you have invited this jewellery for lunch and not me, hence I am giving food to them”. Mohan felt really ashamed for his behaviour and apologized Gayatri.

?????????????Niraj continued conversation with Karan and said, “Karan, there is very deep meaning in this ??????? ???????? story. Many of us have climbed stairs of success in our lives and have achieved many things. It is good to be proud of our achievements but we should ensure that success does not go in our heads. We should ensure that arrogance does not take over human within us.”

From that point onwards, Karan has changed dramatically and has become humbler and more respectful to others.
