Corporate organisations give The Transformation Legacy thumbs-up for impact-driven Enterprise and Supplier Development programmes
Enterprise development organisation, The Transformation Legacy (TTL), has worked with several corporate companies and government institutions in South Africa and across the globe in developing uniquely designed Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programmes. Through TTL’s business development support and training, 405 small businesses have benefitted and over 14 000 lives being positively impacted.
Bearing testament to the benefits of TTL’s expertise and ESD programme is Momentum Metropolitan Group Lead: Enterprise and Supplier Development, Fiona Ally. She said: “We chose to work with TTL because of their outstanding work ethic and innovative approach to ESD programmes. They really take the time to implement programmes which have a lasting impact and as an organisation, we benefit immensely from their services because it is our responsibility to find meaningful ways of contributing towards the operational and financial sustainability of black owned small businesses. Therefore, working with an enterprise development company which is black, female owned and has track record of working with black SMEs has really added value to our ESD programme”.
Generally, SMEs play a crucial role in driving the economic growth and development of a country, however, an enabling economic ecosystem is very critical in achieving impactful success. Therefore, in an effort to strengthen the current economic ecosystem, TTL as an enterprise development organisation provides business mentorship & coaching, finance mentorship & coaching, personal development coaching, business skills training as well business development support to SMEs. Additionally, through their uniquely designed ESD programmes geared towards empowering black SMEs, TTL works with government and corporate organisations in refining their ESD programmes.
“The gains of a well-structured ESD programme is more than just about empowering SMEs, it is equally about investing in a corporate’s future consumer and essentially, creating ground for a mutually beneficial relationship to develop. When corporates take the time to invest in the development of small businesses, they are creating customers who will have the financial means to consume their products too. Therefore, a major part of how we support corporates and government agencies is by designing an ESD programme which will give SMEs the confidence to overcome their challenges and move towards a profitable and sustainable business” says Founder and CEO of TTL, Sibusiso Raphekwane.
The objective of TTL’s ESD programme is to improve the capacity of government and corporate institutions to roll out effective ESD programmes, equip their staff with the skills to effectively manage and monitor their programmes and support entrepreneurs in building legacy-driven businesses. As a result, since inception, TTL through partnering with government and corporate institutions has impacted 405 small businesses.
Praising TTL’s effective approach to ESD programmes, is South African National Parks Senior Manager for ESD, Hilda Mthimunye. She said: “In the past, we experienced a challenge of appointing contractors who don’t finish the work they have contracted to do. This is what motivated us to work closely with The Transformation Legacy in 2021. They came on board to provide enterprise development, mentoring and coaching for 10 contractors, of which 50% were female. The high standard of work provided by The Transformation Legacy yielded productive results because, we saw a major improvement in the business efficiency of our contractors.”
TTL has a footprint in various parts of the country such as Limpopo, Northern Cape, Free-State and the Western Cape. They also have a track record of working with corporate companies across different sectors such as: financial services, information technology, engineering and construction, engineering, tourism and the green economy.
As an enterprise development organisation with expertise in business mentorship & coaching, business training and developing ESD programmes, TTL is committed to working with corporates and government agencies in reshaping South Africa’s economic ecosystem towards an inclusive and enabling environment for SMEs to thrive.
