In the year-to-date to 26th June 2022, 360 Fund Insight categorised, governed, and digitised over 6400 fund corporate actions received directly from over 100 leading asset managers and large transfer agents. ?

While Dividends clearly take up most of the volume (over 85%), there were 343 corporate actions that announced changes in investment policy at the LEI, Legal Umbrella, and ISIN levels. In practice, these corporate actions – when implemented at the umbrella level - can affect thousands of share classes. Over 60% of these changes in Investment Objective were related to ESG, such as changes in SFDR Article and the fund’s approach to sustainability. These are important changes that can affect governance around a client’s ESG investment objectives and suitability. ?

Other fund corporate actions of critical importance are changes in Fees, Investment Status, Mergers, and NAV publication incidents. All these corporate actions should reach the fund shareholders or those acting on their behalf. However, this information is rarely received in an efficient manner due to legacy infrastructures, difficulties in disaggregation, and a lack of digital standardisation across the industry.
