Coronomy

Coronomy

No, I am not a chief economist nor a stock market speculator, not even anywhere near of understanding how economic systems function, but I have always had some questions and now they seem to surface more than ever before.

Ok, let us get some facts straightened out, before we move along. Economics is: 1. The branch of knowledge concerned with the production, consumption, and transfer of wealth and 2.the condition of a region or group as regards material prosperity.

Whichever way you look at it, when trying to comprehend this subject specially in a crisis context, one needs to consider production, consumption, wealth, and material prosperity.

What have we produced? For the past century we have collectively and systematically produced a long list, to name a few: famine, weapons of mass destruction, wars, severe damage to the environment we live in, junk in space and abused the concept of production. In net, we have produced various types of toxic influence and energy across the globe.

What have we consumed? We have simply consumed the above mentioned! We live in a planet that has an exploding population and all indicators point in this direction in the coming decade. We also live in a world that by default will be consuming more and more each day of what was produced thus overstretching all types of resources available. We have produced and consumed a scarcity mindset rather than abundance and created a false fear of such mindset!

We live in a planet where the world economy has reached a total of an estimated $80 Trillion by 2018 while ironically the world debt has crossed the $250 Trillion mark. According to The Institute of International Finance reported that debt-to-GDP rose to 322%, with a total debt reaching close to $253 trillion in the first three quarters of 2019.

Does it mean the entire population is in severe debt? Equivalent to three times the income? If so? Who is the planet in debt for? And why? What kind of transfer of wealth are we promoting? How are we governing it? When all things tangible and intangible seem to be at risk of collapse.

The corona virus is a fish in the pond compared to what was going on before it took place and what will continue to catapult after the corona is over. Corona was merely a catalyzer to this whole thinking of uncovering what might be coming next. So, instead of your regular economy, you will be experiencing the effects of the new ‘coronomy’. It is more like living a new age and this age is mainly defined as the age of consequence and the age of cognitive dominance.

The new economy coined as ‘cornomoy’ will be more like the new doctrine that is catalyzed by corona. It is all about dominating the cognitive capacities of humans rather than anything else. By dominating the cognitive capacities and behaviors of the masses one can control, and predict their every move, needs, motivations, behaviors and by default their pockets, hence the economics at large. You as an individual living in fear today, your IQ and EQ are stored on the intelligent servers of a handful of tech companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Facebook. You are already logged in a system that knows much more about you than you could ever imagine. They have collected thousands of datapoints that can be artificially manipulated to predict and govern your future and possibly your fate.

Recent reports indicated that the world economy is forecasted to lose around five $Trillion in 2020 which is almost equivalent to the size of the Japanese GDP.

How ironic it is to observe that as I write this article, Kim Kardashian still manages to top the searches on google along with covid-19!

Stoic philosophers believed that life is an echo, and what you reap is what you sow. So, what have we really sown in the past century or even in the past decade that we can really be proud of? The saying “this too shall pass” may hold true but the real question remains in answering to ourselves and our children and future generations, what have we sown and what are we sowing today and tomorrow? So we can eventually live in a better world for the collective good of humankind and nurture a mindset of abundance instead of scarcity.
