With tight connections to Italy and clients in many sectors, we thought we'd share our unique perspective on the #Coronavirus effect on commerce. The situation in Italy may seem like it's worlds away, but in reality, the U.S. isn't too far off and our situations share some staggering similarities.
Though we have some advantages over Italy, namely a more sparse population, a stronger economy, and more healthcare resources, at least in some respects, there are a few key instances in which Italy has the upper hand. Italy is fortunate enough to have many, many dedicated public and private health officials, none have handled this crisis better than Roberto Burioni. I’m jealous we do not have such a person in the U.S..
Unfortunately, people in both countries have not taken this threat seriously enough and now we are seeing the consequences. After all the doom and gloom, however, we still see lots of hope.
Read Part 1 of our #COVID19 blog series where we clear up misconceptions about the Italian healthcare system, give our input on where the U.S. is headed, and share that yes, there IS hope at razoyo.com/2020/03/17/part-1-covid19-italys-burioni-digital-commerces-future/?_thumbnail_id=5568.
Stay tuned for Part 2.
