CoreNet Symposium keynote speaker: Jazz Thornton

Keynote speakers at the CoreNet Symposium have taken us on some incredible journeys over the years – from endurance athletes to superstar designers, business and innovation specialists, SAS soldiers, and most recently the incredible Dr Paul Wood .

This year’s keynote speaker promises to be no-less amazing. Young New Zealander of the Year in 2021 (and Dancing With The Stars champion in 2022), Jazz Thornton’s story has also been told in a feature documentary film: The Girl on the Bridge, which premiered in 2020.

Jazz has a powerful story to offer us. Having gone through childhood trauma and mental illness in her teens, Jazz has dedicated her life to providing hope, teaching resilience, and fighting for change. Having addressed world leaders at the UN General Assembly in New York and talked with royalty about mental health, Jazz's work has become internationally recognised.

A true entertainer at heart, Jazz is also passionate about connecting with her community, primarily on TikTok, where she reaches nearly 3 million followers across her two accounts.

What she will have to say will, we are sure, be a memorable illustration to us all of the power of renewal, re-affirmation, and resilience.
