#Core Web Vitals ?? what are the results after 5 months and why is it taking so long ??

Reflecting back on the past five months, it feels like we've finally achieved it! The Core Web Vitals test has been passed!!!

The primary types of pages on the Revain platform that users land on from Google's search engine are Product and Company review pages.

Let's start from there.

As can be seen in the screenshot - the test has been passed for mobile devices. I would like to point out that the mobile test was the one we've been waiting for longer than the desktop version.

Given that PCs are more resource-sufficient, the desktop page on the platform was in the green zone across all metrics much earlier than the mobile one. However, it only passed the test a couple of days earlier - such are the nuances??

Responding to the question of why it took so long - I believe this is a subject for a separate extensive article in which I'll describe all the practical issues that were implemented, tested, and the time spent waiting 28 days for the collection of statistical data. Of course, I will share what worked. I think this question is very relevant for platforms with a large volume of data. On Revain, there are over 15 million pages, of which only 3.5 million are indexed at the time of writing this article.

To clarify - if we were to summarize all the optimizations - the main active component in achieving the test pass was the double caching system in CloudFlare.

Indeed, I also addressed the issue of indexing, which is another story that I will describe in a separate post. But let me say upfront that it's not a trivial task.

In conclusion, I will provide examples of similar pages as on Revain, but from the top review platforms:

As we can see, Google has a special fondness for top-tier projects. Until a project reaches the TOP, one needs to comply with basic recommendations - the main one of which is precisely Core Web Vitals.
