Position: Core PHP and WordPress Developer

Experiance: Minimum 3+ years

Location: Shahrah e Faisal , Karachi

Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)

Job Timings: 6 pm to 3 am

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and experienced Core PHP and WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core PHP development and extensive experience in WordPress customization, theme/plugin development, and website optimization. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing web applications and WordPress websites to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Core PHP Development:
• Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Core PHP.
• Write clean, well-structured, and reusable code.
• Optimize PHP code for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug PHP applications to resolve issues.
• WordPress Development:
• Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch.
• Optimize WordPress websites for speed, security, and SEO.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Database Management:
• Design and manage MySQL databases.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Implement database security best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Monitor and maintain live websites and applications.
• Provide timely support for bug fixes and updates.
• Implement security patches and updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Core PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
• Expertise in Core PHP (procedural and object-oriented programming).
• Proficient in WordPress (theme/plugin development, hooks, actions, and filters).
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery), and responsive design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with MySQL and database optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of web security best practices (e.g., data validation, SQL injection prevention).
• Experience with performance optimization (e.g., caching, CDN, image optimization).
• Familiarity with WP-CLI and Composer is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in Core PHP and WordPress development.
• Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
• Knowledge of Linux server management and deployment processes.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with multisite WordPress setups.
