I have a Core Network Engineer role, senior level. They want someone who has worked at an ISP. Someone who can provide solutions, work on proof of concepts and future state environments. They want someone who has ISP protocol knowledge that is hardware neutral meaning whether the device is from Juniper, Cisco or any other, that they talk to each other.
The is a Core Network Engineer role, direct perm role. We can also do contract to hire if you like.
Here is part of the description of the role (more to come after we chat): V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a Core Network Engineer IV (Chicago, Alpharetta) for our premier client in Naperville, Illinois or Alpharetta, GA. This is a Contract/contract to hire position in the broadband internet services industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
6+ years’ experience in ISP environment
8-10 years’ experience in network architectures
Expert routing knowledge (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, RSVP and multicast) required
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, documents, testing analyses, test plans and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture that aligns with company’s long term strategy.
Provides technical leadership to engineering team to accomplish research, analyze and design network architecture to meet company requirements
Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations and technologies
Determine methods and procedures to be implemented and used on complex new technologies to enhance performance.
Proactively identify opportunities to increase backbone network reliability and reduce
