Core i7 OR Core i5? Which PC CPU is ideal for you?

Core i7 cpus are obviously more powerful than core i5 in most cases. This is mainly because core i7 cpus have higher processing speeds(GHz), more cores and more cache memory. Most core i7 cpus have 4 , 6 or 8 cores where as i5s always come with 2 or 4 cores. When it comes to cache memory, core i7s come with at least 4mbs where as most of the core i5s come with 3mbs. It’s a combination of these three factors that is; processor speed, number of cores and cache memory that mainly determines the general performance of a processor.

So for intensive tasks that need more clock speeds, cache memory and cores, the i7 will clearly beat the i5 in performance. However for basic computer users the difference in performance between these cpus may not be easily noticed because most of the basic computer software use at-most 2 cores and GHz of processing speed. So if you use your computer for browsing the internet, simple gaming, programming or basic graphics designing, a core i5 will be more than enough. Core i7 machines are recommended for users who use their PCs for intensive tasks like rendering HD videos, simulating 3D models, etc

So it’s always important to know your needs before purchasing a computer. This will help you avoid spending a lot of money on a computer with hardware specifications that you may never use. #TechAdvise
