Coraid is back.
18 month ago Coraid, Inc. closed up shop. I thought Coraid, this thing I spent over a decade building, was gone forever.
Then, as you know, my new company SouthSuite unexpectedly acquired the IP for the classic Coraid SRX and VSX. I launched EtherDrive and core?aid, and in April we released the SR704.
Through these two brands Coraid continued to offer faster, cheaper, smarter Ethernet block storage in spirit.
Today, Coraid is back, not just in spirit, but in name---this time as a brand. In yet another unexpected development, last month SouthSuite obtained both the domain and trademark for Coraid.
I’m rolling EtherDrive and core?aid into one: coraid.com. There you will find manuals, information about the SR, support, blog posts, and more as we continue Coraid development.
Coraid is truly and finally back home where it belongs. The heart of AoE continues on.
